Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce is looking for a partner to oversee its consumer-facing website, www.VisitMyrtleBeach.com.

It is responsible for promoting the 14 communities located on “The Grand Strand,” which offers 60 miles of sandy beaches along South Carolina’s northeastern coastline. The area’s beaches, 425 hotels and 1,800 full-service restaurants attract more than 19M people visitors a year.

Looking to enhance the user experience, the CoC wants a firm to better organize its information and discovery tools for vacationers at every point through the travel journey.

It will develop more sophisticated methods to collect consumer demographic and behavioral data and increase overall site performance.

The CoC is not looking for a run-of-the-mill destination marketing site but wants the most sophisticated and effective destination portal in the world, according to the RFP.

Interested parties must submit a signed confidentiality/non-disclosure agreement and questionnaire by Jan. 31.

Proposals are due Feb. 18.

Send 10 companies of the proposals and a digital copy on a USB drive to:

Diana Greene, Chief of Administration

PO Box 2115

The CoC also wants an electronic version of the proposal sent to [email protected].
