Hempstead

The Town of Hempstead, New York, is seeking proposals from firms that can develop and execute a marketing strategy.

The Nassau County town, which is comprised of 22 villages and 38 hamlets, is looking for an agency to develop a cohesive marketing strategy and plan to promote the recent rebranding of one of its hamlets, Baldwin. That hamlet was recently awarded a New York State grant for a downtown revitalization initiative.

Hempstead wants an agency to create a marketing program that will combine digital and print strategies, destination mapping and public events to promote downtown Baldwin businesses as well as the community’s historical, cultural and economic assets.

Scope of the work includes developing a branding and marketing campaign; devising logo designs and slogans for public consideration; fabricating and installing signage (directional signs, gateway signs, interpretive signs and information kiosks); launching a downtown website/app; creating ads/images and videos to be used across platforms; and conducting stakeholder interviews, focus groups, logo/tagline testing and community surveys.

Proposals are due by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 25 and should be mailed or delivered to:
