The city of Opa-locka, Florida is looking for a public relations and marketing consultant

The Miami-Dade County city, which was founded in 1926 by aviator Glenn Curtiss and is known for its "One Thousand and One Nights" theme—boasting the largest collection of Moorish Revival architecture in the Western Hemisphere— is looking for an agency that can provide a comprehensive and innovative public relations and marketing plan that will increase awareness of the city, inform the community regarding ongoing plans and projects, garner public and community support for Opa-locka’s initiatives and programs and be proactive in identifying and responding to any potential PR issues that may affect the city.

Scope of the work includes creating a unique, memorable brand/identity for the city; developing a comprehensive PR plan; creating a slogan/logo/tagline as well as creating and designing flyers for city events and functions; reviewing and updating the Opa-locka’s web and social media strategies; and offering crisis management support in the advent that the city faces a crisis situation.

The contract is anticipated to run for one fiscal year with the option to renew for two additional one-year terms.
