ICM

Kekst CNC represented Crestview Partners in the $750M sale of ICM Partners to Creative Artists Agency.

The deal, which closed June 28 following a Justice Dept antitrust review, consolidates the Hollywood talent agency landscape.

The deal positions CAA to “deliver extraordinary opportunities for many of the world’s preeminent artists, athletes, thought leaders, brands and organizations in entertainment, sports and culture,” according to a statement from co-chairmen Kevin Huvane, Bryan Lourd and Richard Lovett.

Combining with “the best-in-class agency to build an even greater representation company for our clients and our colleagues is the core strategic reason for this move,” said ICM’s Chris Silbermann and Ted Chervin.

The combined company will have 3,200 employees in 25 countries.

Some 425 ICM staffers will join CAA with 105 expected to be laid off, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Kekst CNC vice chairman/partner Jeffrey Taufield and partner Daniel Yunger handled the deal.
