Pinellas

The Pinellas County Utilities Department is looking for a partner to handle public information and community outreach.

Florida’s Pinellas County has about 1M people living in the Gulf Coast region that includes the cities of Tampa, Saint Pete and Clearwater.

PCUD’s selected firm will communicate information concerning capital projects, rates, water quality, conservation programs, biosolids management, emerging contaminants, workforce development and a variety of other topics.

It also will support PCUD’s strategic communications, media relations and events.

The firm is required to have significant knowledge pertaining to water, wastewater and reclaimed water systems and regulations in order to prepare and recommend education and outreach programs that will foster the stated objective, according to the RFP.

PCUD, which has several transformative initiatives and capital improvement projects in the pipeline, believes "nurturing public confidence, building support and informing our customer base are essential components of a successful future."

Proposals are due July 12.
