Big Sky

The Big Sky Chamber of Commerce is looking for a PR firm to develop a communications and earned media outreach effort to increase the number of visitors to the south-central Montana outdoor recreational mecca.

Founded in the late 1960s as a mountain resort community by legendary newscaster Chet Huntley, Big Sky has evolved into an all-season destination.

Outdoor recreation is the No. 1 driver of Big Sky’s growth and a major contributor to Montana’s $3B tourism business.

The summer “Gateway Community to Yellowstone National Park” boasts of whitewater rafting, fly fishing, horseback riding, hiking and golf.

The Chamber wants a PR plan for the Visit Big Sky campaign that includes highlighting it as a destination, as well as local businesses and partners.

The selected PR firm will recommend media target lists for print, online and broadcasts that align with the Visit Big Sky brand, quality and strategic objectives.

Proposals are due August 17. They go to Brad Niva at [email protected].
