Florida’s Walton County, which is in the Sunshine State’s northwest Gulf Coast and whose largest city is Miramar Beach, is seeking proposals from firms that can develop and execute a national public relations strategy and campaign.
The Walton County Tourist Development Council is looking for an experienced travel/tourism PR firm that can raise awareness and favorably position the Emerald Coast county as a premier tourist destination through a media relations campaign that targets key regional and national media markets.
Scope of the work includes developing a strategy that utilizes public relations tactics to secure earned media in appropriate print, broadcast and interactive outlets; regularly pitching regional and national media; media training; and the creation of a comprehensive crisis communication plan for the destination.
Terms of the contract will run for a year, beginning on Oct. 1, 2022 and ending Sept. 30, 2023, with the option to renew for two additional one-year terms.

All bidding agencies must submit one hard copy of their proposals as well as an original on a thumb drive, in a sealed envelope labeled with the firm’s name and address, as well as the words “RFP 22-034 PUBLIC RELATIONS FOR WALTON COUNTY TOURISM DEPARTMENT.”
