HVIP

CALSTART, a nonprofit focused on transforming the transportation marketplace, seeks media relations support to raise awarness of California’s Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project.

HVIP has been managed by CALSTART, on behalf of the California Air Resources Board, since 2009. The project connects fleets and owner/operators with point-of-sale discounts for new vehicles as a way of incentivizing rapid deployment of advanced technologies. Outreach and marketing activities for the project include ride and drive events, social media engagement and event outreach at industry events and conferences.

Southern California and the San Francisco Bay area are among the key targets to be addressed by the selected firm. In addition to developing a media relations plan, the scope of work will include providing media and message training to CALSTART staff, participating in monthly planning meetings, actively pitching media and providing counsel on media-related opportunities.

The contract will start on October 1 and run through September 30, 2023. The maximum amount payable under the contract is $150K.
