Norman Wells, which is located along the Mackenzie River in Canada’s Northwest Territories, is looking for a marketing communications firm to create a brand.
A major oil and gas producing region, Norman Weills also boasts of excellent hiking trails, fishing, boating and birdwatching opportunities.
It also is a prime viewing region for the Northern Lights (aurora borealis).
Norman Wells’ airstrip has daily scheduled flights from Calgary, Edmonton, Yellowknife and Inuvik.
The Mackenzie River is a busy barge route during the summer and serves as a winter road connected to the NWT’s year-round highway system.
Norman Wells expects the brand and marketing strategy will help it develop a more diversified economy and attract visitors and future residents.
