Financial services company LendingClub is searching for an agency that can provide strategy, planning and implementation of public relations services.

The San Francisco-based peer-to-peer loan operation, which was founded in 2006, matches people seeking loans with investors. The first U.S. fintech to acquire a bank, LendingClub has since rebranded as a leading digital marketplace bank. It counts more than 4.5 million members.

LendingClub is looking for an agency partner with experience working with the fintech industry that can develop and execute PR strategies to leverage LendingClub’s strengths and promote its business model to promote the company’s vision, mission and brand promise internally and externally differentiate it from neobanks/fintechs as the bank of the future.

Scope of work includes: developing a brand messaging, strategy and campaigns that elevate LendingClub’s key messages and positioning; supporting the development of LendingClub’s product and technology narrative and collaborating with the comms. team to drive attention to key launches and company initiatives; leveraging and expanding thought-leadership programs; executing a media relations strategy and pitching stories to media outlets; creating compelling content for internal/external purposes (including press releases, articles and social media posts); financial communications services; and internal brand advocacy.

The hired agency will be contracted by LendingClub for the remainder of 2023, with the option to extend the engagement in 2024. Budget for the work is $15,000 per month.
