tallahasseeFlorida's Leon County, encompassing the state capital Tallahassee and known as "Capital County," is reviewing its tourism marketing account with an RFP process through May 6.

The Leon County Division of Tourism Development, operating as Visit Tallahassee, wants a firm to guide marketing communications, including PR, advertising, digital, crisis communications and other outreach to consumers and the travel trade.

The Zimmerman Agency is the incumbent.  Budget for the 2015 fiscal year will range from $750K-$1.2M.

While the region draws crowds in college football season and during the spring legislative sessions, it wants a firm to help increase visitation in other months.

A two-year contract is planned to begin on Oct. 1 and run through 2016. Three one-year options will be available. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting is set for March 5 in Tallahassee.
