The University of Texas at Arlington, which boasts of a Carnegie Research-1 ranking, wants pitches for a strategic communications and marketing program to position the school as a national research powerhouse.

Founded in 1895, UTA has 46K students from more than 100 countries. US News & World Report puts UTA’s undergraduate program in the No. 5 slot on its ethnically diversity index. Military Times ranks UTA No. 4 in the US for veterans and their families.

UTA has research centers in every discipline and state-of-the-art facilities in Arlington and Fort Worth.

The goal of the PR program is to boost reputational growth, increase philanthropic support, bolster enrollment and hike stakeholder engagement.

UTA plans to issue a two-year contract with options to renew for eight one-year periods.

Proposals are due May 19.
