Hudson Valley Community College is seeking proposals from agencies that can provide communication and marketing services.

The Troy, New York-based public community college, which was founded in 1953, is part of the SUNY system. It offers 80 degree and certificate programs and had a student body of about 9,200 in 2022.

HVCC is looking for an experienced partner with expertise in enrollment marketing that can develop and execute a multi-faceted annual marketing plan that includes advertising creative development, media buying, digital media and analysis services in an effort to enhance its reputation, capitalize on existing brand equity and boost student enrollment.

Scope of the work includes: developing an annual marketing plan to meet brand and enrollment objectives; identifying target audiences, timelines, priorities and tactics; developing creative concepts and new ideas to differentiate the college from its competition; overseeing traditional and new media planning, negotiation, sponsorship, placement and creative trafficking; developing digital marketing and social media strategies; developing creative concepts and lead art direction; writing and editing direct mail appeals, news articles, feature stories, website content and speeches; partnering with in-house designers and communications personnel; providing direction and supervision to video and television production; and reporting on KPIs.

Terms of the contract call for a three-year commitment, running from Sept. 1, 2023, through August 31, 2026, with the possibility of three additional one-year extensions.

Proposals are due by 1:30 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday, May 31 and should be submitted electronically through the Mercell procurement website.
