Tuscaloosa

The City of Tuscaloosa is looking for a partner to help position its Gateway Innovation and Discovery Center for a vibrant digital future.

Gateway Center provides free access to high-speed internet, iPads, laptops and access to its digital library. It offers educational programs to empower people of all ages with the tools needed to learn, create and explore technology.

The facility features open meeting rooms and work spaces that can be used for seminars and presentations. Gateway has a children’s room and one of the Southeast’s handful of 16′-by-5’ interactive discovery walls.

The RFP calls for services to help “determine programming at the Gateway by looking at market trends, gaps, and targeting particular age groups.”

Tuscaloosa wants to work with the existing footprint and understands the “pros and cons of the space when it comes to planning the programming and thinking of ways that the space could be creatively used.”

The ultimate goal of the engagement is “to transition the Gateway into a digital rich environment that will fully realize the building’s potential.”

Proposals are due May 31. They go to Brittney Fox at [email protected].
