Guilford Technical Community College is looking to enroll a firm to provide media relations and creative support to its marketing department.

Opened in 1958, GTCC offers career-focused associate degrees and certificates to more than 35K students from its six North Carolina campuses.

It also has noncredit courses in professional development, career development, job training and personal enrichment.

The RFP calls for “promoting positive media coverage, enhancing the institution’s public image, and serving as a dedicated resource focused on managing all media-related activities and initiatives.”

The selected partner will “write and edit more than 200 compelling press releases, media advisories, calendar alerts, articles, op-eds, and other media-related pieces per year.”

It will serve as spokesperson during crisis situations and manage media inquiries effectively when public information officers, subject matter experts, and senior leaders are unavailable to do so.

GTCC plans to offer a one-year contract with options to renew for another two years.

Proposals are due Nov. 30. Interested firm must register at North Carolina’s e-portal
