Marriott International, the world’s largest hotel company, selected JeffreyGroup following a competitive pitch to manage corporate and brand communications as well as influencer marketing for its 20 hotel brands across Latin America.

With over 200 properties in 33 countries, Marriott expects to grow to 300 by the end of the decade.  The 2016 acquisition of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. brought on brands such as St. Regis, W Hotels, Westin and Sheraton. 

“Latin America provides one of Marriott’s most promising growth opportunities and we want to ensure that each one of our unique brands gets the attention it deserves within a crowded and complex media environment,” said Diana Plazas, VP of brands, marketing & digital for the Caribbean and Latin America at Marriott International.

JeffreyGroup will use its experience in travel and tourism to boost exposure for Marriott properties across the region. Press trips, event support, influencer management and property-focused initiatives will be combined with corporate communications.
