Rafael Ramirez has been named chief creative officer for Latin America communications consulting agency Newlink

The 20-year veteran, who began his career as a copywriter at Leo Burnett and later moved to McCann Erickson, has worked on the world’s most recognized brands such as Citibank, Coca-Cola, Nextel, Black & Decker, McDonald’s, Comcast, Sprint, Tecate, Nestle and Colgate.  He's received numerous industry honors, including Cannes, CLIO, FIAP, Effie, New York Festivals, ADDY, WAVE, Mercury, and Festival of Media awards.

Ramirez will oversee Newlink's multicultural marketing and collaborate with clients such as Coca-Cola and ESPN Deportes.
