Mark Weiner has been elected director of The Institute for Public Relations Measurement Commission, effective immediately.

Weiner, CEO of PRIME Research Americas, is a founding member of the Measurement Commission, which was established in 1997 as a source dedicated to elevating the profession’s understanding and application of communication measurement and evaluation.

He co-authored IPR’s latest signature study, “Irreversible: The Public Relations Big Data Revolution.”

Commission members come from corporations, government, and non-profits; PR agencies; research firms; and academia.

“Following in the footsteps of those accomplished leaders who served the Commission and the profession so ably in the past, and working alongside my fellow members as we prepare for the future, I am honored to accept the position,” Weiner said.

Weiner is a trustee for the Institute for Public Relations, a member of the Arthur W. Page Society, and serves on the advisory board of the Museum of Public Relations
