Fashion Vet Jones Joins Steinreich

Steinreich Communications Group, Inc., has named John Jones senior account director in the firm’s fashion practice.

Jones comes over from Monterey, CA-based luxury clothing brand Robert Talbott where he served as director of marketing.

Robert Talbott is one of dozens of local businesses in the Monterey area affected by the collapse of payroll processing company Pinnacle Workforce Solutions last October, according to Monterey County Now website.  It reports that Cachet Financial Services, a Pasadena-based company that provided automated clearing house (ACH) services to Pinnacle, filed suit on Nov. 29 claiming to have more than $1 million sitting in Pinnacle’s now-closed account that should be distributed to the businesses who were the intended recipients.

The 30-year fashion PR and journalism veteran had also been a VP of menswear at Kenwerks, fashion PR shop acquired by Steinreich in the summer of 2016.

At the time, Steinreich president and CEO Stan Steinreich told O’Dwyer’s, “The intersection between home furnishings, where we are the largest agency in the country, and fashion is only growing. The addition of the Kenwerks team to our company enables us to offer clients in both sectors greater strategy and services to help them grow their businesses.”

The Kenwerks acquisition was the third in the past year, including High-Point, NC-based home furnishings agency McNeill Communications.

“John brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team and fashion clients, many of whom have already worked with him when he was at Kenwerks,” said Steinreich president and CEO Stan Steinreich.
