Pardis Mahdavi is Partner at Legend Labs. She is an educator, entrepreneur, scholar and former university president who has also served as provost, dean, and cabinet leader across institutions including the University of La Verne, University of Montana, Arizona State University, and the University of Denver.

An expert on education, medical anthropology, and consciousness, Mahdavi has authored seven non-fiction books, two edited volumes and numerous articles in outlets such as Time, the Los Angeles Times, and the Washington Post.

Prior to joining Legend Labs as higher ed practice leader, Mahdavi stepped down from academia to found Entheon Journeys. She also serves on the board of directors for the Lumina Foundation, the Human Trafficking Legal Center, and the Global Religion Advisory Board. She is a lifetime member of the Council on Foreign Relations and Young Presidents’ Organization and a past fellow at Google Ideas and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.

Mahdavi holds a BA from Occidental College, and two master’s degrees and a PhD from Columbia University. She currently lives in Arizona where she is working on her debut novel
