American International Group has named Daniel O’Donnell corporate communications head and Jim Wells digital & social media chief to buttress the communications effort of the New York-based commercial insurance giant.
O’Donnell joined Brunswick as an intern in 2008 and rose to the director position.
Wells did a two-year stint as Brunswick’s digital practice director, following postings at Weber Shandwick, Cohn & Wolfe and Attention Global.
Both executives report to Cindy Leggett-Flynn, chief communications officer.
She expects O’Donnell and Wells to play a big part in “effectively telling our story and supporting our leadership team in realizing their vision for AIG’s next chapter.”
AIG reported $1.7B in third-quarter `17 red ink (vs. $462M year ago profit) due to $3B in “catastrophe losses” from Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.
