Portland PR handled the run-up to the Jan. 16 visit of Kazakhstan president Nursultan Nazarbayev to the Oval Office to meet with Donald Trump.
The firm's pact with Kazakhstan's DC embassy covered PR services surrounding the presidential trip, advance press materials, media outreach to national print/broadcast journalists and "tailored outreach" targeting the business and think tank community in DC.
The contract, which went into effective Dec 13 and expires Feb. 10, is worth about $100K to Portland.
Elected in 1990, 77-year-old Nazarbayev has been the country's only president since the collapse of the Soviet Union.
