Stock photography giant Shutterstock has appointed Lou Weiss to the role of chief marketing officer.
Weiss succeeds Jeff Weiser, who had claimed the Shutterstock CMO title since early 2016.
Weiss joins the New York–based digital media company from home meal kit brand Plated, where he served as president and CMO. That company was acquired by grocery company Albertsons last year. He was previously EVP and chief marketing and merchandising officer at The Vitamin Shoppe, and prior to that, was president of yoga, fitness and wellness brand Gaiam Direct.
Weiss will lead Shutterstock’s global marketing operations and manage teams responsible for building customer demand, identifying new revenue opportunities and increasing brand awareness.
