The Rockefeller Foundation has recruited Christine Heenan for the VP-policy, partnerships & communications post. She'll join RF later in the Spring.
Heenan served in the Clinton White House as senior policy advisor for healthcare reform and women's issues.
She also was director of community & government relations at Brown University and VP-communications at Harvard. Heenan, who founded Clarendon Group, advised Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Ballmer Group and Broad Institute.
At RF, Heenan will direct strategic communications, arrange conferences and seminars and report to president Rajiv Shah.
"Christine understands the power of policy and partnerships to deliver positive change," said Shah in a statement. "Her leadership will help us leverage the Foundation's influence, convening power, and legacy as we accelerate breakthroughs in health, food, energy, and jobs to ensure the benefits of progress and prosperity are shared by all."


Roger Bolton plans to step down as CEO of Page, the association of strategic communicators, at the end of the year following a 13-year run.
Sherrie Mazur will join the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation as managing director, of communications on Feb. 14.
Independent Diplomat, the nonprofit that promotes democracy by organizing opposition movements and activists, has trained its sights on Venezuela.
Robert Tappan has joined the International BioMetrics + Identity Assoc., the trade group for the identity technology industry.
Tiffany Haverly, who was at Finsbury Glover Hering, has joined the Internet Association as director of communications.
