Booz Allen Hamilton has named Nicholas Veasey director, investor relations, effective June 30. Veasey, who joined Booz Allen in 2015, is currently director of mergers and acquisitions. Prior to Booz Allen, he was an investment banker covering the Industrials sector at Deutsche Bank in New York. He succeeds Curt Riggle, who will lead internal financial education efforts in the firm, while continuing to assist with investor relations through a summer transition period. Veasey will report to CFO Lloyd Howell, Jr. “Nick brings an invaluable mix of professional experience to his new investor relations role that will serve the firm well as we execute the next phases of our growth strategy,” Howell said.

JG Black Book has promoted Alexandra Avila to president. In her most recent position as VP of industry and media relations, Avila led the company’s PR and sales representation departments. Before coming to JG Black Book, she was president of digital travel marketplace BookitLyst. As president, Avila will be focused on growing new business, attracting talent and building on the agency’s expertise and contacts within the luxury hospitality industry in North America, Latin America and the United Kingdom.

Before joining Crosby, she was an account supervisor at Ogilvy & Mather and a senior account executive at Genex. Before coming to Crosby, she was vice president, media services, at Havas Discovery.
