Washington Women in Public Relations is hosting its 9th Annual Emerging Leaders Awards on Tuesday, May 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at WeWork’s Capitol Riverfront location (80 M Street SE, Washington, DC).
The awards recognize up-and-coming female communicators in the Washington, D.C. area. Eighteen finalists have been selected and winners will be named in six categories: Large Agency, Boutique-sized Agency/Independent, Association, Nonprofit, Corporate and Government/Public Affairs.
The keynote speaker for the event will be Cameron Hardesty, head of merchandising at flower delivery service UrbanStems. Hardesty will be interviewed by moderator Barbara Martin, co-founder and co-CEO of BrandlinkDC.
WWPR is a member-based professional society cultivating and inspiring female communicators to reach their full potential in the DC market and beyond. The organization is committed to providing leadership opportunities, professional development, mentorship and industry networking.
