Geoffrey Weill Associates has been engaged by The Japan National Tourism Organization to handle its PR in the US. In addition to working on the organization's Enjoy my Japan campaign, Weill will concentrate on widening Americans' interest in being exposed to and seeing more of Japan than just Tokyo and Kyoto, and to underscoring to travelers that Japan is both affordable and much closer than many other destinations on Americans' bucket lists.

Powerhouse Communications has been retained to lead awareness efforts for Mountain Mike’s Pizza. With a focus on growth in both new and existing markets, Mountain Mike’s is on schedule to open more than 20 new restaurants this year. Powerhouse has been tasked with supporting the brand’s expansion efforts by generating impactful consumer and franchise communications. “We’re impressed with what Powerhouse has accomplished for other foodservice brands and know their expertise and creative energy will prove to be an asset as we introduce the signature Mountain Mike’s experience to pizza lovers around the country,” said Mountain Mike’s Pizza co-CEO Ed St. Geme.

The S3 Agency has picked up cleaning industry leader Carbona. S3 will be raising brand awareness of such Carbona products as the Stain Devils laundry stain removal system and its range of oxy-powered carpet cleaners. Carbona started out in 1908 by introducing the first 100 percent nonflammable stain remover and most recently launched another first-to-market advancement: the first washing machine cleaner with activated charcoal.
