The Museum of Public Relations launched its Summer School on June 12, with “The Future of Healthcare PR: what you need to know to succeed,” led by healthcare industry veteran Craig Rothenberg, president of Rothenberg Communication. The Summer School is an initiative designed to provide free classes and networking sessions to students, interns and young professionals. Classes are designed to provide a sense of what it’s like to specialize in such PR sectors as healthcare, technology, wine/food and travel. Future sessions a June 28 discussion of technology PR with Ethan Rasiel, president of Lightspeed PR and a July 18 presentation on food/wine PR with Patricia Clough, strategic communication director from Gregory+Vine. Both events, which will be held at the museum’s offices at 85 Broad St. in Manhattan, start at 6 p.m. and include free networking sessions. For more information, go to the museum’s website.

The S3 Agency took home 13 awards at the Advertising Club of New Jersey’s 50th Annual Jersey Awards on June 6. The Boonton, NJ-based agency garnered the Best of Out-Of-Home award for “#AdoptACityPet”—a campaign designed to increase awareness of and adoptions at Liberty Humane Society. The agency also earned awards across multiple advertising categories for a wide range of clients, including BMW Motorrad, Reproductive Medicine Associates of New Jersey, MINI USA, Tetley Tea, and Turtle Back Zoo.
