Ketchum received 30 Lions at the 2018 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. Those awards included the Titanium Lion and the Glass Lion for Change Grand Prix, both which were awarded for Ketchum’s work with Libresse’s “Blood Normal” campaign in partnership with AMVBBDO, Somesuch, Trim Editing, 750MPH, The Mill and Framestore. Ketchum and agency partners Goodby Silverstein & Partners, OMD, Caviar TV, Company 3, Whitehouse Post, One Union Recording and The Marketing Arm were awarded a Creative Effectiveness Lion for “Cheetos Museum” on behalf of Frito-Lay. Ketchum and its clients also took home eight Gold Lions, six Silver Lions and 13 Bronze Lions across 13 Lions award ceremonies. The 2018 awards, including those for Ketchum companies Harrison & Shriftman and Emanate Germany, bring the agency’s total Cannes Lions wins to 75 since PR was first recognized by the festival in 2009.

Jenna Box Sarkissian of Sachs Media Group has been named the gold winner in the Female Professional of the Year category by the Women World Awards. The awards are an annual industry and peer recognition program honoring women in business, the professions and organizations of all types and sizes in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America. Sarkissian, who has been with Sachs since 2015, is currently deputy director of public relations at the agency. Before coming to Sachs, she worked for the Gainesville Sun and Ocala Star-Banner, two daily newspapers run by GateHouse Media. Women World Award winners will be honored in San Francisco on July 30 during the annual SVUS Red Carpet Awards Ceremony.

Germinder + Associates has named Jen Reeder, journalist and president of the Dog Writers Association of America as the sixth #Germinder20 #PowerofPinkHonoree and the first journalist to receive the award. Power of Pink is an initiative by Germinder founder Lea-Ann Germinder meant to put a spotlight on women’s storytelling. Reeder is a freelance journalist who specializes in pet and lifestyle features. Her articles and essays about pets have been published by BBC News, The Daily Beast, Family Circle, Modern Dog, the Christian Science Monitor, Today.com, HuffPost and the Sierra Club. The announcement of the award comes immediately after the agency celebrated its 20th Anniversary Day on July 1. Reeder has designated Green Dogs Unleashed, which rescues dogs with special needs and trains them to be therapy dogs to receive the $1,000 Germinder Honoree donation.
