The New York Financial Writers Association will be marking its 80th anniversary at a party to be held on July 24.
Founded in 1938, the NYFWA is the nation's oldest organization devoted to business and financial journalism. In addition to providing opportunities for networking, the organization runs a job bank, publishes a directory, grants scholarships to aspiring financial journalists and puts on career-building events. It also offers the chance for members to be mentored by veterans of the profession.
Among the organization’s other efforts is its annual satirical show, the Financial Follies. This year’s 76th edition of the Follies will be performed on Nov. 9 in the Grand Ballroom of the New York Hilton Midtown.
The July 24 event is open to NYFWA members in good standing for 2018. To find out the location of the event, or for more information about either the 80th anniversary party or the 2018 Financial Follies, email [email protected].
