MGM Holdings' executive VP of worldwide communications Kristin Cotich, who assumed the post in March, is leaving the studio. No replacement has been named.
Cotich joined MGM in 2013 as vice president of communications. She was promoted to senior vice president in 2015 before being named EVP. Before coming to MGM, she was vice president, corporate communications at Relativity Media, and director, global publicity at Walt Disney Motion Pictures.
At MGM, Cotich was responsible for the developing and executing communications and publicity strategies across MGM’s business units, including Metro Goldwyn Mayer Pictures, MGM Television & Digital, MGM Worldwide Television Distribution, Orion Pictures, LightWorkers Media, MGM Interactive and EPIX.
“I am grateful to MGM’s senior management for supporting my decision to explore other opportunities and look forward to what lies ahead,” said Cotich.
MGM chief operating officer Christopher Brearton said that Cotich “has been a stalwart executive for the company and has made many valuable contributions. She will be missed and we wish her well in her future endeavors.”
The company reported a 67 percent decline in first-half net income to $63.3M on a 15.4 percent rise in revenues to $679M.
