Michael Ann Thomas, senior VP/global technology chair at APCO Worldwide, will join BCW on Sept. 10 as executive VP-global technology solutions. She takes over for Rowan Benecke.
Besides the two-year Seattle posting at APCO, Thomas served as a board member for MIT Hacking Medicine, VP-group director at Edelman, director at Raffetto Herman Strategic Communications and staffer at Ogilvy, Hill+Knowlton Strategies and WE Communications.
Donna Imperato, BCW CEO, said Thomas has the “energy and vision” to grow the tech practice and is “fearless at a time when we need bold ideas, uninhibited creativity and a sophisticated understanding of the evolution of the world of technology.”
Thomas will report to Chris Foster, BCW’s North America president.
Laura Anderson, who rose to VP/GM of global communications and events in a nearly 20 year stint at Intel, will take on the Americas technology chair at Burson following the completion of the BCW and H+K merger on July 1.
