High10 Media has opened an office in Los Angeles, joining the agency’s New York, Nashville, San Diego, and Tel Aviv locations. The new office will be led by Gillian Sheldon, who will serve as managing director for the agency, with responsibility for the agency’s West Coast operations, including its integrated communications and digital services. Sheldon comes to High10 from the XPRIZE Foundation, where she was chief marketing officer. She has also served as supervising producer of digital at Sony Pictures and was one of the founders of TMZ. High10 has also recently launched a new division specializing in digital services, encompassing social media campaigns and management, paid search, content distribution, digital development, influencer engagement and SEO.

Ripson Group of Chicago has expanded its media relations, digital marketing, video production and crisis communications service offerings by opening a second office in Bettendorf, Iowa. The opening of the new office follows the firm’s rename from Ripson Communications to Ripson Group. The new name is meant to better reflect its resources, which include media relations, video production, media buying, creative design, digital marketing, social media management, media relations measurement and analytics. Ripson also announced the appointment of Christopher Comes as president and partner. Comes, who joined Ripson in 2013, most recently served as executive VP. Before that, he was national public relations director of Seattle-based Clearwire, and served as Midwest regional director for AT&T, overseeing the launch of the first Apple iPhone in 2007.

Fashion Canada

AMP3 PR CEO Alyson Roy is a co-founder of Fashion Canada Curated, which is doing a soft launch during New York Fashion Week (Sept. 6-14). The organization celebrates the success of Canadian designers and advocates for Canada as a shopping destination. As part of its presence at NYFW, Fashion Canada will be hosting an event at the flagship store of men’s clothing company Indochino in SoHo on September 8. The event, a cocktail party featuring Canadian cuisine, will also include a panel discussion on the rise of Canadian fashion with such panelists as Indochino CEO Drew Green, former Glamour magazine fashion editor Lauren Chan and TV host Bradford How.
