Ken Koprowski, former VP-communications at General Electric, New York University adjunct professor and head of his own PR firm, has died.
Kerry O'Grady, professor in NYU's PR & corporate communications program, sent a message to students this morning to inform them of Koprowski's passing.
"Ken was a dedicated, appreciated member of the PRCC adjunct faculty for many years, and he will be truly missed," she wrote.
During his more than 35-year career, Koprowski taught at UConn, Pace University and Quinnipiac University. He served as immediate past president of PRSA Westchester/Fairfield chapter.
He opened Koprowski Communications, strategic counseling and crisis shop, in 2009.
A memorial service for Koprowski will be held on Sept. 22 at 10 at the First Presbyterian Church, 1101 Bedford Street, Stamford Ct 06905.
In lieu of flowers, donations go to DomusKids, 83 Lockwood Ave., Stamford, CT 06902 or the Family Centers, 40 Arch St., Greenwich CT 06830 in Koprowski's name.
