Viet Dinh, who was an independent director of 21stCentury Fox, has been named chief legal & policy officer of the new “Fox,” which is being spun-off from Walt Disney Co.
He will be in charge of legal, compliance, government relations and public affairs, and report to Lachlan Murdoch, chairman/CEO.
Murdoch said Dinh’s deep knowledge of the business gained through his board service will be an asset to the management team
He looks forward to working closely with Dinh, most recently a partner at Kirkland & Ellis, as Fox charts a “growth path for our dynamic and iconic news and live sports business."
21st CF assets include the Fox cable and broadcasting networks, 28 local TV stations in the US and more than 350 overseas, Twentieth Century Fox Film studio and Twentieth Century Fox Television production studio.
