Benjamin Chang, a managing director in Burson-Marsteller's PA and crisis practice in Washington since 2016, has moved to Princeton University as chief spokesperson and media relations director.
He has White House experience gained from working as director of press & communications at the National Security Council during the administrations of presidents Bush II and Obama.
Most recently, Chang was VP/events editor at the Los Angeles Times and associate administrator for communications at the Small Business Administration.
Brent Colburn, Princeton's VP-communications & PA, said Chang's "proven commitment to serving others, combined with his creativity, media savvy and professionalism, make him the ideal person to serve as Princeton’s spokesperson.”
Besides media duties, Chang will advise Colburn and Princeton president Christopher Eisgruber on PR messaging strategies.


Leigh Whitaker will return to the University of Pennsylvania on Oct. 1 as VP for government and community affairs.
