Current Marketing has brought on Chuck Rachford as executive creative director; Janeen Davis as vice president, planning; and Jennifer Symmonds as vice president, human resources. Rachford joins from Cossette, where he helped the launch the Canadian firm’s Chicago office as well as serving as executive creative director. Before that, he was senior vice president, group creative director at DDB, where he led creative for brands including Bud Light, Capital One, JCPenny, McDonald’s and Starburst. Davis has held executive positions at Intouch Solutions, Edelman, DDB, FCB and Burrell Communications. Shehas worked across many categories, including CPG, beauty and retail. Symmonds joins the firm from Tory Burch, where she was senior HR manger. She has also led HR efforts at Tiffany & Co. and Gap.

Swyft has hired Julia Angelen Joy as account director to provide senior leadership for its Denver office. Joy was the founder of Z Group PR and has also served as director of strategic giving for the Idaho Foodbank. She has manged public relations, media outreach, and social marketing programs. In her new position, Joy is tasked with growing Swyft’s presence in the Mountain West as well as providing senior leadership over the agency’s PR service offerings. “Her understanding of both the day-to-day and high-level strategic needs of our clients will be indispensable,” said Swyft founder and president Dave Manzer.

Dix & Eaton has brought on Tim Dewald as a senior account executive in the firm’s media relations practice. Dewald comes to Dix & Eaton from the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, where he was media relations liaison, guiding and implementing social media and digital marketing initiatives. Prior to the Fed, he served as a producer on CNBC’s “Mad Money with Jim Cramer.” The agency has also hired Kris Fiocca as an assistant account executive, working in its media relations and marketing communications practices.
