Public Relations Global Network announced that it has named Gábor Jelinek executive director, a new role for the global PR and marketing communications network.
Jelinek’s position was announced at the network’s fall meeting in Bucharest, Romania.
Jelinek was previously a partner at Budapest-based agency Goodwill Communications, a position he held for more than a decade. Prior to that he was a client service director at Weber Shandwick in Hungary. He was formerly the editor in chief of Budapest’s English-language weekly business newspaper, the Budapest Business Journal.
As executive director, Jelinek will oversee all aspects of the global PR network, and has been charged with developing new sales initiatives, enhancing partnerships and creating marketing opportunities for PRGN’s firms, staff and clients while ensuring its strategic objectives are met.
Founded in 1992, PRGN currently counts 50 PR agencies across Africa, Australia, Europe, North America and South America.
