Matt Fuehrmeyer, who served as director of research and strategic communications at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2015 through the 2018 midterm elections, is joining Summers Strategies as VP..
Fuehrmeyer drove research, messaging and political strategy at the DCCC, playing a critical role in the Democrats recapturing the House majority.
Before coming to the DCCC, Fuehrmeyer was research director and communications adviser for Senator Al Franken’s 2014 re-election campaign. He served as research director for senate majority leader Harry Reid’s 2010 re-election campaign, as well as for Senator Franken’s first successful Senate bid in 2008. Fuehrmeyer was also part of winning teams at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee in 2006 and 2012.
Summers Strategies works with businesses, national nonprofit organizations, trade associations, government agencies, elected officials and progressive political candidates on communications strategy, media relations, marketing and advertising.
Fuehrmeyer will begin work at Summers on Jan. 2.
