PRR and client the Maryland Dept. of Health and Mental Hygiene took top honors at PRSA National Capital Chapter's annual Thoth Awards Sept. 18 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.

PRR's Washington, D.C., office worked with MDHMH's Office of Oral Health on a three-year social marketing initiative, "Healthy Teeth, Healthy Kids," that boosted dentist visits among children and an overall increase in awareness that oral health is key to overall health.

Ogilvy, which took home the top Thoth last year, was the leading agency winner with five Thoth Awards for work with clients including the President's Council of Fitness, DuPont (three), and the National Crop Insurance Services.

Ketchum, Susan Davis International, Padilla/CRT, and the U.S. Dept. of Labor took home two awards each.

PRSA's largest chapter also gave out dozens of certificates of excellence and inducted Judy Phair of PhairAdvantage Comms. and Bill Oliver, ex-senior VP/comms. at A&T, into its Hall of Fame.

Chapter president Samantha Villegas said the winners set an example for all professional organizations in the field of strategic PR.
