LEVICK is bringing Derede McAlpin back to the firm to lead its litigation communications practice.

McAlpin rejoins LEVICK, where she served as a vice president from 2005 to 2012, from the Association of Corporate Counsel. At ACC, which serves the interests of more than 45,000 in-house lawyers, McAlpin was vice president and chief communications officer.

She has also worked as a strategic counselor for both corporate clients and public officials, working on such projects as handling communications for the first full-face transplant recipient in the U.S. and managing crisis issues following data breaches and scandals. Her experience also included working in the media relations department of Howard University and serving as a judicial law clerk for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
