MMGY Global has promoted former executive vice president Katie Briscoe to the role of president. She becomes the first female to hold the president title at the travel, hospitality and entertainment marketing agency.
Briscoe succeeds Chris Campos in the president role, who was also named chief operating officer in late 2017. Campos left the agency in October.
Briscoe joined MMGY in 2009, starting as an interactive project manager before working her way up to VP of client services in 2013. Two years later, she was given the EVP of client services title.
As president, Briscoe will be responsible for developing the agency’s marketing services and talent as well as its strategic growth through acquisition. She’ll also oversee operation of MMGY’s integrated marketing communications services brand. She’ll be stationed in MMGY’s Kansas City, MO headquarters.
The agency also announced that former EVP of business strategy Craig Compagnone will take up Campos’ former COO title. A Ruder Finn alum who joined MMGY in 2004, Compagnone will oversee MMGY’s operations and support services across the company’s global offices and will also be responsible for driving growth and integrating the company’s portfolio of global brands.
MMGY, which was founded in 1981, maintains 10 offices worldwide and staffs more than 400.
