Mower has been named the agency of record for Westchester County Tourism & Film, the official destination marketing organization for Westchester County.

Mower will conduct travel and tourism integrated marketing and public relations for Westchester County. Mary Gendron, senior vice president, managing director and head of Mower’s Travel and Tourism specialty, will lead the work.

The county’s tourism has an economic impact of $1.9 billion, provides more than 24,500 jobs and ranks third in visitor spending in the state, behind New York City and Long Island.

Prior to Mower being named AOR, much of the work was divided up between Thompson & Bender and Fifteen Degrees. Other agencies who participated in the competitive RFP process for the account included Co-Communications, Fifteen Degrees/Nicholas Lence and Harrison Edwards.

Westchester County executive George Latimer says that he expects Mower to “further enhance our reputation as a premier, easily accessible business and leisure destination in the Hudson Valley.”
