W2O has extended and expanded its $50,000 three-year commitment to the Future Leaders in Healthcare Fellowship Program, a joint project between the firm and The LAGRANT Foundation, an organization focused on increasing the number of ethnic minorities in the fields of advertising, communications, marketing and digital. The program, which includes a 10-week, paid fellowship in one of W2O’s U.S. offices, has been expanded to include all aspects of integrated marketing and communications, including data, analytics and insights; social and digital paid, earned, shared and owned media; creative and content; activation and engagement; and investor relations. The initial fellowship, which was created and led by W2O Founder and CEO Jim Weiss and TLF Chairman and CEO Kim L. Hunter, was launched in March 2016. Since then, several individuals have been selected and completed a fellowship in W2O’s New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco offices.

KYNE

KYNE has bolsters its presence in Europe with the establishment of a London office. The new London office is located in the Thames-side Hammersmith area. The firm’s global headquarters are in Dublin. Joanne Wunder, formerly of InVentiv Health (now Syneos Health), will serve as managing director and head of Europe, reporting to David Kyne, founder and CEO. She will lead both the Dublin and London offices, which will work in partnership to service European-based clients and the firm’s ongoing work in Africa; growth of KYNE’s global digital offering will continue to be led from Dublin. The agency is actively recruiting for positions in London and Dublin to support multiple new European-based clients in the pharmaceutical and non-profit sectors and drive new business efforts.

Sacred Heart

Sacred Heart University is the first institution of higher education to offer the SAS Joint Certificate Program in Digital Marketing. Sacred Heart developed the certificate program jointly with SAS, which specializes in analytics, business intelligence and data management. This program will be an option for students earning their master’s degree in digital marketing at Sacred Heart’s Jack Welch College of Business. SAS has already partnered with numerous institutions that offer the SAS Joint Certificate Program in data science, data analytics and other areas as part of its global academic program. Its partnership with Sacred Heart University marks the first time the program will be offered in digital marketing. To receive the certificate, students will complete courses in big data marketing, analysis of consumer decisions and applied topics, and they will submit a capstone project that uses SAS products and real data.
