PAN Communications has hired Elizabeth Yekhtikian as the firm’s first chief media strategist. Yekhtikian comes to PAN from InkHouse, where she was vice president, media strategy, creating and implementing strategies for a variety of technology and venture capital brands. She was also responsible for providing hands-on media training for clients, an area that PAN will seek her guidance in. Yekhtikian was previously an account director at Blanc & Otus PR. At PAN, her remit will be to help drive storytelling across the media landscape at PAN while collaborating with national and global media contacts to better align with the firm’s client roster.

APCO Worldwide has brought on Katherine Mackinnon, who will be a director based in the firm’s Seattle office. Mackinnon comes to APCO from Nyhus Communications, where she served as an account supervisor and director, specializing in reputation management, advocacy, strategic communications and public affairs for clients across the technology and real estate sectors. She was previously a policy and advocacy specialist for the Downtown Seattle Association and has worked for two Seattle city council members on issues related to transportation, land use and budget policy. “Katherine’s strong public affairs and Seattle government background coupled with her experience developing impactful strategic communications campaigns in the market, strengthens our ability to provide innovative solutions for our clients,” said Tim Smith, APCO Worldwide managing director, Seattle.

MP&F Strategic Communications has named Alice Chapman managing partner. Chapman has been with MP&F since 1995 and advanced to become a senior manager and ultimately an equity owner of the company. Working with clients across the Southeast in such industries as health care, technology and education, she specializes in areas including grassroots campaigns and public policy initiatives. In addition, she recently completed a three-year term as an executive committee member of the Public Relations Society of America’s Counselors Academy. David Fox, one of MP&F’s original partners, previously served in the management role and will remain an active full-time partner in the firm.

Hill+Knowlton Strategies is welcoming Rhenna Morgan back to the firm as a director in its retail and leisure team. Morgan returns to H+K from commercial real estate company Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, where she led consumer PR. During her first stint at H+K, she worked with retailers such as B&Q, Comet, Sainsbury’s and QVC, and brands including TUI, P&G, Cineworld, Britvic and London Eye. In her new role, Morgan will work across a number of clients within Retail and Leisure and will have a broader client service role across the agency. H+K UK CEO Simon Whitehead said that Morgan’s “experience from working client side will ensure that our teams remain firmly focused on delivering exceptional client service.”
