Finn Partners has named Joe Hulihan, MD, who had headed Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen Neuroscience medical affairs team, as its medical advisor..
The 15-year J&J veteran handled drug development and post-approval medical support for numerous therapeutic areas.
At Finn, he will provide day-to-day guidance to ensure content is medically sound, compliant with regulatory requirements and valuable to patients.
Hulihan also will provide staff training and insights into disease education, product/scientific communications strategies, clinical research programs and medical expert engagement.
“Science is a foundational element of health marketing communication, permitting us to express brand value and build anticipation in the marketplace,” Gil Bashe, managing partner of Finn’s global health practice, told O’Dwyer’s. “Appointing experts like Dr. Joe enables Finn to translate science into compelling call-to-action that aligns a fragmented healthcare system—an environment where each sector has distinct needs.”
Finn also added Ann Hemingway, a veteran of Edelman, Ogilvy and Havas, as a partner in its New York health group. It promoted Michael Heinley, who manages teams involved with biopharma, medical devices, diagnostics and advocacy clients, to senior partner.

Even as technology changes the rules of engagement, digital health brands still control the most powerful tool they have—their story.
