James Farley has joined diversified financial services firm Cowen Inc. as managing director & head of investor relations.
Known as JT, Farley did a 10-year stint as managing director/IR and corporate communications at Investment Technology Group. He also worked in equity research sales at Bank of America and held producer/editorial jobs at CNBC Asia.
Jeffrey Solomon, CEO, said as Cowen works to improve its “transparency and connectivity with the Streeet, we are delighted to establish a dedicated in-house IR program with JT leading the effort.”
He said Farley has "emonstrated a commitment to building relationships within the investment community based on honesty and trust, which are vital to a successful investor relations program."
Farley reports to Solomon.
Shares of the 101-year-old New York-based firm trade on the NASDAQ at $15.29 each.
