Zillow Group has announced the appointment of Dawn Lyon to the newly created position of chief corporate relations officer. Lyon was previously chief reputation officer and senior vice president of corporate affairs at Glassdoor, where she also served as chief equal pay advocate, leading several initiatives to illuminate gender pay gaps and promote corporate pay equity globally. She is also founder of LyonSHARE Communications Group, which was Zillow’s AOR from 2007 to 2016, and was a senior vice president at FleishmanHillard. At Zillow, Lyon will oversee corporate communication, government & community relations and investor relations for Zillow Group.

Diversified energy company AVANGRID has named ≤strong>Zsoka McDonald vice president, corporate communications. McDonald most recently served as interim vice president, corporate at Hudson’s Bay Company. She previously led corporate communications for North America at beer, wine and spirits company Diageo. In her new post, McDonald will be responsible for overseeing internal and external communications as well as corporate branding for the company, reporting directly to AVANGRID CEO James Torgerson. “Zsoka will lead efforts to enhance and accelerate meaningful dialogue around our brand and purpose of providing reliable, renewable and sustainable energy solutions to our customers,” said Torgerson.

Florida’s Children First, a statewide advocacy organization focused on protecting the legal rights of at-risk and foster care children, has named Jaye Abbate vice president of communications and community relations. Abbate joins FCF from nonprofit arts incubator ArtServe, where she served for seven years as CEO. She was previously marketing manager for the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. In her new position, Abbate will work to educate, inform and advocate for public policy changes and resources required to generate positive outcomes for Florida’s most vulnerable youth and families. FCF was founded in 2001 by child advocates, volunteers and attorneys from across the state.
