Roop & Co. has named Brad Kostka to succeed agency founder Jim Roop as president, effective April 30. Roop will continue to serve as senior advisor for the firm.
Kostka has been with Roop & Co. since its founding in 1996. For the past 10 years, he has held the position of senior vice president. In that position, he has been responsible for leading business development, agency management and account services for the firm.
A past president of the Cleveland chapter of PRSA, Kostka is also a board member of the Association for Corporate Growth’s Cleveland chapter, where he leads its branding function.
Before founding Roop & Co., Jim Roop served 15 years as chief operating officer of Watt, Roop & Co. (now Fleishman-Hillard). He was previously a vice president at both Burson-Marsteller and Ketchum.
“Since I founded this firm, Brad has been instrumental in growing Roop & Co. into the powerhouse agency it is today,” said Roop. “With more than two decades of committed service to our firm, Brad is remarkably well equipped to lead the continued success and evolution of Roop & Co., allowing for a seamless transition of leadership.”
