Purplebricks, online real estate firm,has hired Weber Shandwick to handle much of its non-investment PR. The company has droppedwith Instinctif Partners. According to website Estate Agent Today, Purplebricks retains an in-house head of communications who handles some press and public relations queries, while its investor relations media queries are handled by Buchanan. The company spent an undisclosed amount to become the “official estate agent” of Team GB, which represents Britain and Northern Ireland in the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Weber serves as the global public relations agency for the Tokyo 2020 games. Purplebricks co-founder Kenny Bruce, who served as global sales director for the company, resigned this week.

OBP will focus on social media and public relations to support existing marketing and advertising campaigns. Pilgrim’s has 26 production facilities and four prepared foods facilities across the country that serve retailers, restaurants, food service providers and consumers. “OBP’s mix of creativity and data-driven execution was the right match for our business,” said Pilgrim’s public relations and communications manager Kelsie McEndaffer. OBP’s client roster also includes Morton Buildings, Farm Credit, United Soybean Board, Bayer, LinkedIn and Nutrien Ag Solutions.
Diamond Public Relations has added Hotel Rangá, a resort in Iceland, to its roster of European clients. The 52-unit property, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, promotes itself as a prime viewing site for the Northern Lights. It has an on-site observatory with a roll-off roof and two high quality astronomical telescopes to provide guests with “optimal stargazing into the clear night skies of Iceland.” Miami-headquartered Diamond PR, which also has an office in Los Angeles, has clients in 14 countries on several continents.
