Purplebricks, online real estate firm,has hired Weber Shandwick to handle much of its non-investment PR. The company has droppedwith Instinctif Partners. According to website Estate Agent Today, Purplebricks retains an in-house head of communications who handles some press and public relations queries, while its investor relations media queries are handled by Buchanan. The company spent an undisclosed amount to become the “official estate agent” of Team GB, which represents Britain and Northern Ireland in the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Weber serves as the global public relations agency for the Tokyo 2020 games. Purplebricks co-founder Kenny Bruce, who served as global sales director for the company, resigned this week.
